Harry - Companion
Meet Harry – Our Giant with a BIG Personality!
Harry is a breathtaking 12-year-old Belgian Draft Horse standing an impressive 18 hands tall! With his massive build, handsome looks, and one stunning blue eye, Harry is truly unforgettable! And don't worry, his beautiful blue eye does not affect his vision.
Harry has a heart as big as he is, but he definitely knows he's the boss!
Harry is incredibly sweet, full of personality, and loves attention. However, he doesn't always realize just how big and powerful he is! He is the self-appointed king of the pasture and takes his job very seriously.
A Few Things to Know About Harry:
-
12 years old | 18 hands | Belgian Draft
-
One beautiful blue eye with no associated vision issues
-
A true herd boss! Harry cannot be pastured with other geldings.
-
He needs a mare companion. Harry thrives with a female pasture buddy and is a wonderful, devoted protector of his girl.
-
Sweet but BIG! He has a loving personality but doesn't always understand his own strength.
-
Special farrier needs. Harry struggles with picking up and holding his feet, so he requires stocks or veterinarian-directed sedation for safe farrier care.
-
Experienced draft home required. Due to his size, strength, and dominant personality, Harry needs someone with extensive draft horse experience.
Harry isn't a horse for just anyone, but for the right person, he is something truly special.
Underneath all that muscle and larger-than-life personality is a sweet boy who deserves to be understood, respected, and loved. He takes pride in watching over his mare and would love a home where he can enjoy life with his special companion.
Harry is beautiful, bold, a little bossy, and absolutely full of character. He will certainly keep you smiling!
Harry's perfect home will have plenty of space, a compatible mare companion, proper facilities for his farrier needs, and an experienced draft horse owner who understands how to safely handle a horse of his size.
If you have the experience, patience, and room in your heart for this magnificent boy, Harry just might be your perfect match!
